We have explored nature, dived deep under the sea and walked in the night garden but this season Bordelle comes home to the urban environment with collections inspired by classical urban architecture and the city of decadence.
Bordelle has always been highly architectural, given it’s combinations of soft fabrics, iconic strapping and gold hardware, SS24 Mari finds it’s inspiration in the grandeur and drama of architectural elements in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, Venice. The intricate gothic metalwork of the historic city serves as inspiration for the unique baroque embroidery and scallop edging of cut out elements that define the collection. Recycled tule and Bordelle’s classic soft wide elastic return and are now paired with a contemporary 24k gold plated monogram component.
The range is available in Vivid Black and Midnight Navy Blue, with the addition of Bordelle’s newest colourway - a shocking pop of Magenta Pink. Ornate and decorative, Mari is uniquely feminine, drawing inspiration from the past to create a modern romantic aesthetic that will appeal to existing Bordelle lovers and those who typically prefer more delicate lace lingerie.
Dropping in late November, SS24 Vero is a return to the brand’s original concept of bondage-luxe bodywear and outerwear. Highly geometric lines of layered details in signature elastic straps, mesh and a new, smoothing Jersey combine impact with exceptional fit and comfort. The graphic effect on the body is inspired by the patterns of Venetian tiles. Opaque panels offer strategic coverage to create multifunctional lingerie designed for double duty as outerwear. The collection is available in Black, Dusty Blue and Eden, colours that recall the romance of Venetian canals.
